Bünte & Remmler emerged from the Wagner & Goldschmidt Company located in Frankfurt in 1880. As a petroleum lamp manufacturer BuR evolved into a famous producer of first-class lamps in Germany around the turn of the century. In 1962 BuR was sold to Hoffmeister & Sohn KG. BuR manufactured sophisticated luminary programs in Frankfurt & afterwards in Lüdenscheid.
Many of the items we have for sale are all from what we refer to as " Real Life ", they were all made for use & purpose. There will always be signs of use & aging which we think gives each item its individuality & personal charm. We clean & repair but we always try our best to keep everything in its original state.
